Data controller

ProcessorWatch.com is a publication of Paynetic Technologies, in partnership with Nationwide Payments (collectively, "we," "us," or "our"). For privacy matters, the data controller is Paynetic Technologies, [POSTAL ADDRESS]. Contact: privacy@processorwatch.com.

Information we collect

  • Submissions. When you submit a merchant review or contact the analyst desk, we collect the information you provide (name, business, email, processor, and the narrative content of your submission).
  • Usage data. We collect standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, and pages viewed) to operate and protect the Site.
  • Cookies. We use strictly-necessary cookies for core Site functions and may use privacy-respecting analytics cookies. See our Cookie Notice.

How we use information

  • To verify and, where appropriate, publish merchant submissions as editorial content in composite or anonymized form.
  • To respond to analyst-desk inquiries.
  • To secure, monitor, debug, and improve the Site.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Legal bases (GDPR)

For visitors in the EEA and UK, our lawful bases are: (i) our legitimate interests in operating and defending the Site, publishing editorial commentary on matters of legitimate market interest, and preventing abuse; (ii) your consent, where required, for optional analytics cookies; and (iii) compliance with legal obligations.

Publisher's editorial use of submissions

When you submit a review, you provide it for editorial publication. We may publish, edit, aggregate, anonymize, or excerpt your submission consistent with our Terms. We do not publish your email address or personally identifying business details without your express permission.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share or "sell" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"). We do not share your email address with any processor listed on the Site. We do not accept placement fees or paid rankings.

Your California (CCPA/CPRA) rights

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of that information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing." Because we do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law, no opt-out is required, but you may still submit a rights request to privacy@processorwatch.com. You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf; we will verify the agent's authority before responding.

Your GDPR / UK GDPR rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection with respect to your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Contact privacy@processorwatch.com to exercise these rights.

Data retention

We retain submissions for as long as they remain editorially relevant to a processor profile. Server logs are retained for a period consistent with operational and security needs (typically no more than 12 months). You may request removal of your submission at any time by contacting us.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.

Children

The Site is directed to business professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International transfers

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., information we collect may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
